Our analysis robot
If you see “GEOAEOScanner” in your logs, it is our robot: it loads pages on behalf of our users to audit their visibility to AI assistants and their accessibility.
Last updated :
Identification
- User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; GEOAEOScanner/2.6; +address of this page)
- robots.txt token: geoaeoscanner
- Requests come from our server functions infrastructure (no fixed IP addresses).
What it does
- Page audit: it loads the page a user asked for, once, like a browser, plus robots.txt, the sitemap and a few public resources to analyse them.
- Site crawl (from the Pro plan): it follows internal links within the plan’s limit and obeys the robots.txt rules that apply to the geoaeoscanner token or to all robots (*).
- Scheduled monitoring: it re-analyses the pages a user chose to monitor, at most once a day.
- It never fills in forms, never logs into accounts and never reaches private or internal addresses.
Limiting or blocking it
To disallow crawling of all or part of your site, add for example to robots.txt: “User-agent: geoaeoscanner” then “Disallow: /”. For any question or to report abuse: contact@geoaeoscanner.com.
